Laboratory of Confocal Microscopy
The Laboratory of Confocal Microscopy is equipped with modern confocal microscope LSM 710 Zeiss nlo with unit multiphoton Cameleon Ultra Coherent. The device allows to conducting research both with isolated cells, cell fragments, isolated perfused organs using the superfusion and microperfusion techniques, as well as making observations in vivo in biological material.
The system has both a classical lasers as well as Multiphoton laser, which allows imaging deep layers of biological material while reducing phototoxicity. Intracellular and extracellular registrations, on-line analysis of the intercellular transmission and classic confocal techniques such as FRAP and FRET belong to the basic methodology used in the Laboratory of Confocal Microscopy.
